This clock was given to my husband by his grandfather. In 1996 we had it converted to a battery powered clock . We kept the inside workings don't know if they will work.

Don't lose the original movement, pendulum, key and hands! You have a Waterbury Black Enameled Wood Mantel clock called the "Dale" (on the label). It's from circa 1910, originally retailed for $7.75 (approx. $190 in 2013) and was appraised by Tran Duy Ly at $275 in 2001. Clocks usually don't sell for Ly's appraisal amounts unless they are all original and in mint condition. Antique clock collectors would probably have no interest in your clock with a modern quartz movement unless they are looking for the case. Old clock mechanisms such as this one were made to last. They are usually not difficult for a clock repair person to properly overhaul. It's very good that you saved the original parts. Try to store them in a cool, dry place. Thanks for sharing.
