    I don't think i've ever seen this kind of glass before. it has lots of gold flecks and some interesting colors in it. Does anyone recognize this kind of glass? Where was it made and when? i think it might be Czechoslovakian, but don't really know. Thanks for any info you can give.

      It should be Italian. There is often an embossed "ITALY" mark in the underside or interior of these types of pieces. The mark can be difficult to see since it would blend into the pattern of the glass.

      I agree with twentiehc, Italian and probably by V. Nasun. Google that name and you will see many similar, albeit in other colors, ashtrays by this company....usually marked. RER (LOUMANAL)

      That's the name on the tip of my tongue that I could not remember. Nice recall LOUMANAL ... I concur, V. Nason & Co is the likely maker.
