    Belonged to my great grandmother. It all handmade and over 100 years old. She is 8" tall. Her eyes and necklace are beads.

      She is wonderful and your right she is handmade and a real treasure ! Love her , someone made her an apron later in her life but she otherwise looks all original . We called these primative dolls ( Homemade) I would keep her in place where she is not handled . As the oil in our hands can increase breakdown of material . We use white gloves in museum when picking them up . Thank you for sharing this great piece of history on CW !

      Yes, my great grandmother made the apron to help protect the clothing. Someone told me to wrap her in acid free tissue paper and store her out of the light so that is what I have done. I think it has helped preserve her.

      You have done all the right things . Acid free paper is the best to wrap her in and of coarse light would damage her fabric . Priceless Treasure !!!!!!!!!!
