    These four pictures depict young ladies who are most likely Army nurses, as Nursing was the only job women could hold in the Army before WWII.

    The photos were found in the collection of the previously posted photos from the soldier then stationed at Fort George Wright, near Spokane. Washington.

      Yes, inky, the women of those times did exude a certain sense of natural charm. This is part of the allure of old time photos, seeing how things appeared during past times, contemplating the reality of their times, and the inevitable comparison to contemporary times.....
