Inherited this old watch a few years back and can not seem to find out much about the maker. Love the classic look of it though. Anyone heard of this watch co. ? I'm thinking 1930's judging by the style & strap.
I have opened the case,inside the watch is marked on case-back with a small diamond shape, followed by a 1/11-25, not too sure on the 25 as it's very faint. I need a loope to see it better. The watch is acually working and keeping time! Amazing!!

For Sure Swiss Made, B.W.G. Swiss Case. Will need to see Movement for details as of Company, Serial etc. Inside of case will give you metal content and case maker. Dial and Style, I would estimate late 1920's, early 1930's. Case could be Stainless Steel, Nickel Silver or possibly Sterling. Does it run?

No not at all. If you don't have a watch opener, just take a small pocket knife, smallest blade and sideways find the either indentation or lip on one side of the case usually facing the lugs. You can pop the case open that way. Its the only official way of finding out what you have. The engravings on the inside of the case back will tell metal content, name brand, case maker and serials. But the movement will have name brand, number of jewels etc. If you do get it open, write down everything it says and reply to my comments here and I will research. Of course be very careful with movement. If crown won't turn, it may be frozen or over-wound. If balance is free it usually can be repaired.

"First off this is a "Mens Model". Now get a Loupe or Magnifier and look to side of case where Band attaches and see if you see any writing for Metal Content. Inside Case in unmarked as well as 15j Movement so you have to go by Logo on Dial. The Swiss in the day made watches for the USA and Euro Market and many times would never mark them so as to the Manufacturer or Distributor they are dealing with...a few of these "Unknowns" in my Collections. They are basically worthless until you find out who made them. The market for Vintage Watches is huge, just go to e-bay and search: Vintage Art Deco Watches! This is a nice Butler Dial, most likely Nickel / Silver Plate. If there is heavy brassing (you can see the yellow of the brass underneeth the plating). Otherwise possibly 10-15k white gold but would have markings to show that. Ticking is a huge plus, values up any old watch! I do restorations and appraisels for $$.
