    Chesttrunk
    (2 items)

Got this from someone when I was younger. I always thought it was cool but I don't know what kind it is or if it really IS a pirate's treasure chest. The black is all thin metal (not lock or latches) and it has wheels on the bottom. The weird side pic is where I think the chest was painted red and the original color was probably blue and tan. Any time I wipe it off I take a good amount of red paint with me.
    Any info would be awesome.
    Thanks!

    P.S
If anyone knows about where I can get a key for the lock that would be awesome.

A pirate's chest is simply a chest that has been owned by a pirate. If you can prove that a pirate owned this one then viola -- the real deal! Otherwise you have a really nice old 1890's to 1900's slightly rounded trunk. Looks like the tin was originally two-toned blue and gold, typical for its day. Your trunk has a great look to it with natural wear and use patterns. I think it looks cool too -- thanks for the post!
