This tall clok has markings on the back, in my great-great-great-great grandfather's handwriting, dating it to 1805, and "White made the case for $7.00" David White was a local furniture and cabinet maker working in Longmeadow, MA at that time. The second and third photos show the front plate and the time side of the movement on my test horse. We do not know who made the movement, but I suspect it may have been Benjamin Cheney. The fourth photo is a 1:12 scale model of it that I made for my mother's dollhouse. It contains a quartz watch movement. The photograph was taken with it standing in front of my 6mm Boley Geneva Pattern lathe.
