These are two Civil War erra rings that we found digging around the battle fields in Chickamauga Ga. I have done lots a research and have found nothing about them. Any ideas?

    Do they let people dig around in battle fields? I realize you might have meant "around" in the general area. Very pretty and sad.

    No the NPS doesn't allow it-- can result in loss of detectors and a heavy fine for digging on park land. With permission original battlefield land that is not part of the National Park can be dug.

    I wouldn't ID this particular style to the Civil War era. IN MY OPINION, the style looks much later than Civil War.

    I just have to say if these were found at a battlefield they should be donated to a local museum closest to your discovery. I visited Petersburg, VA last year and actually felt physically weak and sluggish the whole time there. So many souls lost and families devastated.

    hi all i can can tell you here and now that they are very very very old original irish cladagh,old irish wedding ring, when you wore the ring with the heart faceing outwards you were in love,but if you wore it with the heart faceing inwards you were looking for love,,i have one its only 30 years old,but any ways hope this is helpful to you,Anthony
