I brought these plates in Michigan City, Indiana . The person said they are Dinner Plates that were used on dining cars of a train, but didn't know which train. Can anyone give me any information about them. I have three 7 1/2" round plates and five 11 1/2" x 7 rectangle plates. The train has the number 109 on it.

Sorry to say they are not any known Railroad dining car pattern. Most likely they were from a Railroad themed restaurant or a novelty item. A great reference for RR china is, Dining on Rails by Luckin, and The Official Guide to Railroad Dining Car China by McIntire
