I bought this for pennies at an 'out-of-the-way' shop in British Columbia.
It had been near a coal, oil or wood burning stove - or all three at one time or another.
It is heavy. The linen on the back is as it was when I purchased it.
I recently cleaned it with white vinegar and salt.
