Posted is a 1:18 scale die-cast model of a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado. Oldsmobile's all-new 1966 Toronado - priced at $4,617 without options and placed at the top of the Olds line - was the first mass-produced front-wheel drive American car since the 1937 Cord 810. It featured a horizontally-lined grille, hidden headlamps and massive styled wheels. In its first year, sales of the 385-hp V8 Toronado exceeded the 41,000 mark.

I just happen to have an original advertisement from a 1966 magazine for the Toronado with this same color.

I loved this year Toronado. As soon as it came out, I built a plastic model of it. (AMT) I think this and the Riviera were the best looking 60's cars.
