The 1954 Emerson 744B radio is one of the most unusual and sought after radios of the period, and was available in numerous color combinations. The colored cabinets are made of Plaskon / Bakelite with contrasting styrene plastic grill and knobs. The radical design reminds me of the dashboard out of a vintage 1950's
The "feet" on the bottom of the face of the radio are very fragile and are often found cracked or altogether broken off. These radios when in playing condition look great when turned on with its illuminated faceted "jewel" (lower center front).

WOW !!!
Thanks ozmarty for the nice comment on the radios!!
The green and black one just makes my heart sink - which is a feeling I get when I feel like I must own one. Must be terribly expensive !!
Thanks for the nice comments. These radio are difficult to find in good condition.
Really nice!!! Looks like those Art Deco displays that would be on top of elevator doors to show the floor that they're on.
