By the late 1960's early 1970's there was a revival of interest in this country in iridescent Art Nouveau glass. The 1950's had seen an all time low for this glass even for L.C.Tiffany. A man I know on Cape Cod bought a huge Tiffany Studios hanging lamp shade at an estate sale in 1957 for $5.00. No one wanted it !!!
In my opinion the three best makers of the new studio Art Nouveau style glass were (and are) :
    1. Charles Lotton - 1970
    2. Jim Lundberg - 1970
    3. Orient & Flume - 1972
I have early examples of Lotton and Lundberg (posted earlier on CW ) so this is my early Orient & Flume example made in 1976.

Couldn't agree more. Orient & Flume doesn't get half the attention it deserves...particularly their early production.

It's really gorgeous stuff. I love all of those modern makers.

I agree! I have early examples from each of these artists and they are amazing works of art. Charles' work just keeps getting better. He will turn 78 this year and he still blows glass every day. If you ever want to come out and watch Charles blow glass, let me know. Charles is not only a talented artist but one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
