We have purchased this car ashtray and are looking for a little more information on it. If anyone out there has some we would really appreciate knowing more about this particular one. We have collected quite a few of these Slag ashtrays to put in are automotive museum, but this one is very rare and unique. This one has the Flower on it as shown in pictures. We have looked at quite a few collections and can not find any like this one. Thanks for any help!

    Hello, not sure on this, but looks to be a shaped slag glass that was usually placed on a standing ashtray, this is an american one, they usually had spaces also for cig holders and ashtrays. Lots of times the base lit up on these, I can see how you mistook this for an insulator, it looks exactly like on !~ Phil.

    I collected many of the Canadian airplane standing ashtrays and lamps for years and sold them also ! Phil.

    here is the correct link, but there were so many different shapes they used for the glass parts, sometimes mixed with colours to look like marble :
