This is my grandmother's antique bed. To be honest, I don't know a lot about it. The only thing that really stands out for me, is just how much my grandmother loved it! She purchased it from a second hand store and I know she had it for 40 years. I remember sleeping over at her house and getting a kick out of how tall the headboard is. It is 7 ft tall and fits a full size bed frame.
She gave it to my wife and I because my wife took a special interest in it. My wife hadn't seen a bed like that before. Unfortunately, we don't have room for it anymore. We have tried to research the bed, but haven't been able to figure out it's time period or origin. Please let me know if your familar with this style. I'd love to know more about it and how much it is worth.

Your bed is most likely made of Walnut, with the raised panels veneered in Burl Walnut. The style is from the Victorian period, the reign of Queen Victoria 1837 to 1901. I would guess your bed to be from the middle of that period, 1870 ish.
