      nathanhall,
You need to post this in the pocket watch section.
The first photo is an Ingersoll movement made in Great Britain in 1964.
Is the movement for the black dial one the same?
      These are called "Dollar Watches".
There are several different types shown on this forum.

      nathanhall,
The black dial watch looks like the back cover is on a hinge. Open it and and see what is marked on the watch works (like the first picture).

the hinge isnt for the back its for a ring around the watch , will the back just pop off like the last one cos ill do that and look
    5. pw-collector pw-collector, 11 years ago
Yes it should. It might be threaded and screwed on. If it is it will unscrew by turning it counter clockwise.

Does the ring fold down to be used as a stand so it will sit upright on a desk?

it does fold down yes but its to loose at the moment to hold any weight dont know if its ment to be tighter or somthing to hold it
