HI everyone :) like to share this bracelet I found in my grab bag purchace a while back. Its engrave with the name, Ogun is pronounced as OW-GahN . Ogun is primarily used in Yoruban and its language of origin is African-Yoruba. Ogun's meaning is god of war. I am not sure if the second reads "Jre"? It looks to be Gold but will need to tested. It does look to be old. Any comments are Welcome I would like to hear you think of this Bracelet. Thanks

I just can't see a poor African tribesman out in the bush taking a solid gold bangle to a professional jeweller to have it inscribed..

Very nice find Bratjdd :-) Gold standard in Africa is usually 24KT . Your bracelet looks tarnished which gold doesn't do . I am thinking it is made and engraved in US maybe by a African American that wanted it to wear . I have good friends in Africa and they all wear 24 kt gold it is not as expensive there but it is soft and scratches easy . I think yours looks old and script looks old but inclined to think it was made in USA . Either way it is wonderful and I love it !!!!!
