Here are a couple of photos of the Chevrolet dealer in our town,my dad worked there from 1969-1984 when they closed,I spent alot of time getting pennies from the parts manager for gum from the gum machine. The 2nd pic is from the early 50's (they opened in 1949) you can see the gas pumps to the right side along the street, they sold Mobil gas.The 1st pic is THE ACTUAL SIGN !!!that is on the corner of the building in pic #1(I have both sides also.
Pic #3 is in 1973 (I have every...yes every sign in this photo)and there is the parts managers 1949 chevy truck(restored there by my father)and a new 1973 chevy truck, these were both the same dark green color.
These photos were sent to use by the son of the owner of this dealership. Thanks Bobby!
Unfortunatly the building was torn down in the mid 1990's after sitting empty for quiet a few years, the lions club is there now. It's bad but good because I am sure I would try to buy it if it was still there.I will post more about the history of this dealer soon,as I seem to be finding alot of stuff I had stored away lately!
