After many years of collecting, I found that you start to change your surroundings to accommodate your collections. Buying just the right piece of furniture or display stand or case to fit and display proudly what you have worked so hard to find. Once you display them and continue to add to the collection, new display ideas are needed. I have posted the full collection with the exception of few stragglers in two separate postings. I can promise you this collection will continue to grow. There are just too many that I covet and will try my hardest to obtain. Those of us on this site know exactly what I am referring to. So to all the growing collections and their "keepers" CHEERS!!!

The black w/green opaque stopper in picture 3 is gorgeous. Can you tell us a little more of your background collecting these bottles? I can tell this didn't happen overnight.

Thank you all for your nice comments. No, it is not an overnight collection. It took many years to get this far, and many, many thrift stores, garage sales, ebay, and some from family members. Valentino97, the black bottle with the green stopper and the cherub with the flute. I found it on ebay and it was a bit of a bad picture and I received it at a rather nice price. I do have a preference for the black for some reason. But in all, they are so very important to me. I think it is just the era they were used and the beauty of each bottle.

It seems to me when you start to collect, you see something that attracts you to it. I started with an Irice bottle many years ago. Then, I started researching and researching. I discovered many more bottles that I loved so much more....and then more.....and I had to keep upgrading from the last to the next. To hunt and find one better than the last. It has become quite the sickness I think.

Yes, a sickness I know what you mean. But your collection is what my friend calls a "glorious obsession". I love that term. She also called my 16 tubs of fabric a "textile tornado"...and I didn't appreciate that comment as much.

I posted a simple 1920-30's black opaque bottle w/red top awhile ago. Would love your comment on it. Your bottles are so gorgeous! Would love to see you post a few at a time w/some history on them. Thank you.
