When I was a very young lad, I remember seeing this print hanging in my grandfathers home. He always said, it was his favorite picture, and on the back is his name, followed by, favorite picture. I have had it since his death (8/4/1887 - 1/26/1990).
Also on the back is printed:
P38306 & 3548/1
Shepherds Call
Radio Picture Frame Co., Inc.
104 So. 4th St. Brooklyn, N.Y.
It is a 12" x 16" print.
Do the numbers on the back date this in any way?
In searching the web, there seems to be a couple of suggestions as to who's work this is attributed to. (1) Albert Schenck & (2) Walter Hunt.
Thanks for looking & providing any information.
Dave

I just noticed this print. I have just obtained one from an estate and was in the process of researching it. There is a good site that clearly pins it to W. Hunt - mine is a 16 x 20 with a mat and a gilt, art deco looking wood and gesso frame.

Thanks for the link. I had seen this before and thought it was a good research.
