My daughter and I came across this at an auction of a retired antique dealer. She paid $25 for it, though we really didn't have enough time to examine the dust-covered set. Once home this is what we found:

    9 plates
    8 dessert plates
    12 bread and butter plates
    8 dessert bowls
    13 saucers
    11 cups
    Round covered bowl (8.5 x 2.5)
    Round Serving bowl (9.5 x 2.5)
    Oval platter (16 x 12 x 1.16)
    Small covered bowl (7.75 x 1.5)
    Sugar bowl
    Creamer
    Round bowl (6 x 2.5)
    Oval Bowl (10 x 7.5 . 2)
    Oval Platter (12.5 x 8.75 x 1)

When these were cleaned and examined, they were almost like new - no chips, cracks, or signs of wear on the gold leafing. I know that these are Czech made, and the pattern is Athens. I know little else about them. The number of serving pieces was, I thought, extraordinary.
