I was wondering if anyone can give info on this little mystery. It has Walt Disney The Sword And The Rose inscribed in an art called neillo. It has the Queens Tudor Crown and Tudor rose. My feelings are it originated from an earlier date. There are many letters throughout this piece, but I am not able to define. On the back of crown it is marked with a name but I cannot tell if it is an F or C. It ends in Z.It appears to be brass, but looking closely it appears to be a brass coating over the engravings.
I have done some research on this particular film and it's origin. I have followed the origin to the actual Royal Tudors and Sir Edwin Caskoden. I have looked for months at all letter openers, mini swords and such only to find a dead end street. I have contacted Disney Collections and Archives, no results or knowledge of. I have contacted Antiqe Roadshow with no results. Help....I am curious now. It appears to be one of a kind. It is not a promotional piece nor a sovenier. I feel it has been passed through many hands as a presentation piece due to accomplishments on films. It was first published in 1898 When kKnighthood was in Flower. It was a Broadway play in 1901, 1908,1922,1924, 1953.
If you can help...it would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks Karen

Can you get a closeup of the back of crown? Trying to make out the name. That may be the ticket to figuring this one out. Thanks, Dave

I am trying , it may become blurred. We will see? I have looked at it with a jewelers eye that isn't very strong. I have ordered one that is stronger and hopefully this will give me some answers. Some have said it was nothing there, but by this pic, you can see a name. There are several other inscriptions also. As well as numbers. On the handle there is DP but there is another letter befrore that. It appears this was inscribed later than the others. It is more of a etching than engraving. Also, there is a name to the left under the edge of crown. It is on front, but as usual, I cant see that one enough to make out either.

Ok Dave I finally got a closeup. You can use your sidebar and magnifier to enhance. Thanks for looking. Aumma
