I'll refrain from calling this a "cookie jar" . It's seems too refined in shape and design. No clue as to the maker. Not a mark anywhere. Beautiful raised pine cones and boughs on both sides with a pine cone top finial. The shading on the cones looks like glaze misses on one side and there is a small chip in one of the raised needles. Other than that I think it's an incredible piece ! Need some help with this one. It's 10 1/2" tall and 7 1/2 " at it's widest and about 2 lbs.. I haven't seen anything like it so far online. -Mike-

    It looks like the German Rumkopf jars, but I think the Germans are pretty good at marking their pottery. What are the dimensions,and is it heavy?

    That was supposed to say Rumtopf- fruit soaked in rum for several months and served at Christmas

    It's 10 1/2" tall and 7 1/2 " at it's widest. Yes I'd say it's heavy (maybe 2lbs.) the lid is heavy for it's size too.
