I picked this up at a yard sale. Heavy old cast iron the knocker does not move (likely part of a pair). Has two wrought iron nails, not sure if original to piece.
Back of piece is hollow, dimensions are 7 1/2" T x 5" W x 3 1/2 from nose to door surface.
When bought it had been nailed to a couple boards as a book-end, when removed an ald antique store sticker was concealed labelled fe30 and a price of $330-
I've tried and exhausted researching this on the internet, cannot find any collectors that may have info, so turned here.
Hope someone can help.
What I know is it appears very old, original patina, I've never seen the likes of this knocker.
I imagine it is early usa, or may be english.
