I had found this 2000 penny, steel looking front, sides and back. I took a magnet to it and to my surprise its slightly magnetic. This has me going crazy. Can anyone help me out?

      Hi Kid:

Yeah there is a seam all along the top. Things like this are usally made for magic tricks. Altered, no mint error.

back in the day, we made these in science class, can't remember what chemical we used, but would change the tone of a penny from copper to a shiny, almost silver finish. Haven't seen one for a while, thanks for sharing!
