I found this today. All I can say it that it is very very heavy. In fact, the super kind wonderful lovely lady at the church thrift sold it to me and said, "You could kill somebody with this." It is 4 pounds, and only 8 inches long.

At first glance I thought it was silver, I took a quick look and saw the pseudo hallmarks, paid 2 dollars and ran.....But when I took a good look I noticed it was actually pewter. 95% tin? I knew the screws were modern, but I figured the could have been a recent repair....but I do not think so. I would have to guess this is only 40 years old??? What does everyone think? Any ideas or comments? Thanks!!!!
