I've been finding a lot of nice little vases lately. They're always hiding behind other junk and easily missed if you don't look closely. This one is only 5" tall and 4" in dia. It has a single pink rose with a shaded green background. It appears to be hand painted. One tiny nick in the dark green paint on the side. The opaline glass vase is perfect. There is a mysterious paper label glued securely to the bottom with what looks like the letter "J" on it. - Mike-

Fostoria and other companies made these vases in the early 1900s. It is handpainted--over a line transfer. Made things go a little faster on the production line, a very common technique in this era.

Thanks Paul 71. I thought the flower looked a little different. Now I know why. :)
