Not sure how/ where/when they came from. Do know the hair and elephant items of are ivory. Just a few pics.....some in worse condition. Always amazing how much stuff you can collect through others. Doesn't mean I want to keep anything.......just trying to figure out when/where........thanks for any help!

    Hello. I am guessing that the plate or bowl is Japanese, and somewhat older. If it is less than 120 years old then it was not made for export as it does not carry the U.S. required markings for such wares. I scrolled through Gotheborg's Japanese marks with no luck, not a surprise, and browsed several hundred 18th and 19th century marks with the same result. It's now in my catalog of Weird Old Scribbles, but I never match any of them up. To get out on a limb, I'd say it is Japanese and more than 120 years old, which means that tomorrow someone will pop out of a rice bowl and saw the limb off. Best wishes, Jim
