My dad began doing watch repair in the early 1940's. I'm not sure how he aquired this watch, but I know it's been around since I was a kid. I didn't think the band was original, but it is rivited on-that is not a snap on the back. It is in good working order and is keeping time pretty well. Any ideas on how I can get it appraised? (Sorry about the poor quaility of the picture-the crystal is slightly yellowed and a little scratchy. Can't figure why else it would be blurry like that.)

This is a 1948 US Time Mickey watch. Strap is not original.

Hello pawick, George has answered your query spot on.
1948 US Time(Ingersoll), the third or forth post WW2 style Mickey (depends if you count the Kelton dial difference)
That is a snap, not a rivit, it's probably rusted and the spring won't release the center. The band or strap, which every term fits your area, is from the later part of the 1960's up to the mid 1970's. As for approx value, depends on original and condition, From what I can see, It would sell on an online auction for normally somewhere around $50 US

I also agree with all above as being spot on. That is a cool Mickey. I've worked on many of them and have kept one in the collection. Great that it runs because the main issue they have is a worn balance staff and or pivot cap. The orginal strap I belive would have been red.
