This is a lovely dark Brown (Cherry) bakelite necklace with graduating oval beads from the Art Deco era. The beads have tested positive for bakelite using simichrome polish where the colour comes up a yellow Brown. The largest bead is approx 28mm x 22mm and the smallest approx 14mm x 9mm. The length is approx 470 mm in total including the screw catch. The weight is 51g. The condition of the beads is good vintage.
So all is clear about this necklace but please help me to appoint the right color name in English. Is it dark Brown or Cherry or another still better name????

I am not sure - maybe amber? I have one but it is definitely cherry. On ebay they usually are labeled amber or cherry.

valentino97, the color is from a redish brown. Thanks anyway for your comment !

Yes - I agree reddish brown - but I think on ebay they just call it amber - not that ebay sellers are experts!

I mean amber colored bakelite - not the true natural amber material.

In America, amber that looks like that is referred to as honey amber. Maybe honey Bakelite?
