      Is it just my computer, I can't enlarge the photo?
      Might be able to tell more with a larger photo.

      It does look like Black Forest Stag carvings on it.

      I think that you are correct walksoftly.... I was trying to get info on it....bought it for 250.00 last week. I wanted to keep it, but had absolutely no room for it.
