It was great to find this in a thrift store for $1, but even cooler that it was a yellow label mono Promo DJ copy on top of that! In good shape and plays great.

      Everybody's first Zappa album.
I knew this was here so I didn't start my Mothers posting with this album. I can't resist adding a few comments.
This album blew minds in the '60s. It expanded our consciousness. It was a hint to what would be possible in rock & roll. Frank never thought of himself as a "rock'n'roll-er". He used rock as a vehicle for his serious musical interests. We didn't care - we loved it anyway.

Originally, the band was called just THE MOTHERS but the label objected and Frank conceded to add OF INVENTION to the name.
