My 1930s bendix eclipse made in southbend Indiana. This boat motor is the model smd. I believe it's a 1938.

so what hp is it ..was it always in the family or did you pick it up some where ,,,did you have to work on it ...hows it run mate,... come on give us the story..smiling

Right away I said he-- ya I want it . He got it from a buddy who passed away years ago. It's model is the smd made between I think 1936-1938 it's air cooled so I can run it out of the water. But unfortunately no it doesn't run it has good compression but no spark I'm working on getting it running.
