British London/Liverpool/Glasgow Salvage Company steel helmet. Company tasked with the salvage of large items, i.e. whole ships sunk or beached on the coast. Also salvaged items from factories and shops destroyed by bombing. Assisted during bombing raids, and many were killed whilst assisting or guarding damaged premises. When the war was on, there was a shortage of everything, so anything that could be salvaged was recovered asap. Super rare helmet with company badge on the front.
On 1 January 1924 the Liverpool Salvage Association and the Glasgow Salvage Association merged to form the Liverpool & Glasgow Salvage Association.
