Flea market find-Its a monkey pitcher with his tail as a handle and a tri-corn hat! The coolest!
The mark has familiar elements like pretzels and lions/gfiffins but I cant attrbute.....it was really dirty with a "bonus" dead cockroach inside!

I think he is still cute :-) They don't say what Co. it repro's but who would have known he was a repro on site . Some of the repro's I have seen look so authentic they are masters at it at times . I still love him but then I love monkeys :-)

Yeah, my sons and I were eyeballing it for months as well as trying to researching it's..I found an auction house that recently sold one for a hundred and twenty-six dollars so I felt pretty safe paying $40 .....and yes....hes very cute and I really do love it!

The pretzel mark is often used on English Staffordshire pottery. I'll see what I can find out.

Yes, on marks4antiques, they have it as a 1980's Chinese copy of old Staffordshire marks. I would say that if you lvd it, $40 is a fair price!
