I received this antique dome shaped chest of drawers from my mother when she passed away in 1988. The outside wood is a very dark brown color but the inside of the chest is a lighter shinier wood. The chest has rollers on the bottom for ease of movement. The bottom of the chest has a beautiful cut out pattern. I am not sure where my mother got this chest of drawers (some people call it a hutch) as she was always flea marketing, attending auctions, and loved garage sales. I absolutely love this piece of furniture. I have not been able to find another like it anywhere. If someone has information on this chest, I would appreciate it if you would share that information with me. Thanks.

Hey Sallie...over here... This on looks like it is made of cedar. Outstanding.
Yes Savoychina1 the inside is definitely cedar but the outside almost feels like it has a much rougher finish and is a very dark color. Wish I could find someone who knows something about these. Most people say they have never seen one like either of mine. It's really frustrating to have no info on them.
Love this piece...Sorry i dont have any info on it...
