This is the change bowl for the seated pirate collection. It was manufactured in 1932 and designed by John Ruhl a German American. Most of Ruhl's work was done at Hirsch where he designed a number of items.

The pirate figure is cast metal layered with bronze and cold painted and has an Ivorine face. The opalescent glass bowl insert is original and has minor fleabites. The figure is signed on the base see fourth picture and shows a little wear, it measures 5" inches tall by 5 inches in wide and 4.5 inches in depth. I have the lamp and bookends to match this item.
