A second example from this same correspondence (the only other example I am aware of) was sold at auction on October 20th on New York for $7,475 including buyer premium. The stamps were two 12c #69s and a single 30c #71. This price despite the fact that it was incorrectly described as being addressed to Punjab rather than to what is now Pakistan and the destination town was now accurately rendered either. (Hawalpindee). The buyer had seen the example I showed on my census site and was aware of its rarity.
