This is a rare edition of the Vaudeville Artist Directory. I see 1928 all the time but not this one. It has all the Vauldeville stars, and the focus this year was the minstrels, including Al Jolsen

I will. I haven't had it for very long and all 300 odd pages are packed with pictures.

My great grandfather was in Vaudeville for a time, very cool!

A rare volume, the National Vaudeville Artists Year Book, 1927 (New York: Isaac Goldmann Company, [1927]), approx. 300pp (un-paganated), 310x235 mm. illustrated and titled wraps. Copiously illustrated with patron advertisements, a veritable who's who in the waning days of vaudeville.

So stinking rare I have no idea what they are worth. The 1928 seem to easy enough to come by. and I'm not joining Worth.com to find out :P

Hmm, it had to have been the 1920s, maybe the early 30s.

You don't have to, one sold in 2008 for 285.00 on ebay. I found a 1924 that brought 325.00 lasy yr. Dave :p

Thanks so much Dave. I searched through every single rare book site and didn't find any of these, only 1928. I didn't see "24" either. Very cool.

My dad says he thinks my great grandfather was still doing Vaudville then. Albert Carrier, on the off chance he is in there.
