I'm wondering if the vintage frames are the B&L Ray-ban Ambermatic Sportsman sunglasses, with the lenses replaced with prescription lenses? The top bar reads B&L Ray-Ban USA and underneath the bar, it reads B&L Ray-Ban 62 [] 14. The little rubber or plastic nose guards have the B & L engraved underneath the rubber. I've researched these frames and that's all I have come up with. Any help would be appreciated! Excuse the blurry close-ups.

If you have done research, you surely know B&L is Bausch & Lambe(or whatever the spelling). So, what exactly is your question? Do the lens darken in sun light? "Photo Grey"?

I was attempting to ask if this particular style of vintage Ray-bans are the 'Sportsman' Ray-bans which once would have had the Ambermatic (yellow) lenses. Since the lenses are now prescription, and not the original lenses, it is harder to identify the style and age.

Holy Cow I have the same pair but with original tinted lenses! I am in the same predicament!!! Cant find the ear wrap around with normal bridge. Your lenses are most likely added way later. The originals have a B&L etched in each optical lens. Also, get a magnifying glass because the " 62 [] 14" is incorrect. Looks like that, yes, but actually says something diff. (did the same thing w my pair). I created this account just to get in touch w you cause I havent seen these ANYWHERE else. email available

What color are your lenses Vinchenzo21? Thank you for your tip about the 62 [] 14, when the lighting is better (it's early morn.), I will look again. I have continued researching these glasses since I originally posted this topic and I think these were called 'Shooter glasses' with yellow tinted lenses. What do you think?

62[]14 is exactly right, it's the size of the lenses (62mm wide, 14mm apart). They are Ray-Ban large aviator frames. The original lens may or may not have been Ambermatic, more than likely they were brown or green. Ray-Bans this large are hard to find. Ray-Ban has an "Outdoorsman" model with a plastic brow bar, but they are all "Aviators".
      Regards,
