I picked up this Marantz 2238B stereo receiver at an auction for $30. I replaced all the lights and had to buy a new set of feet, two were broken and caused it to wobble. I also removed all knobs and entire face and polished up with aluminum cleaner to make it shine, it was yellowed up from nicotine smoke. Made from 1977-1979 in Japan and has 38 watts of true power.

Thanks for all the loves guys, I have always been addicted to higher end vintage audio components. I have a few much nicer Marantz Quadraphonic units I will post. For a peek at a few google "Matty G's great vinyl move". Kenwood made some sweet units Kerry, if made in Japan, once production moved to China they all became cheapo junk.
Phil you just reminded me of something I picked up recently I need to post, an old Buick thermostat hood ornament cap, and I scrapped all those trophys and kept all the bases thinking of you.

These old Marantz hi-fi's are well made and nice looking, later Philips ruined them.
