    I've had this big old wool blanket for around 30 years. Can anyone tell me about how old it is? is there any value to it? The beauty in the polka dot bikini is lucy - who loves anything fabric to sit on - even prickly wool.

      Yeah its definitely a good one. Most of them aren't worth much but this is a great wall-hanger

      Your blanket depicts the national symbol of Mexico. The bird on the cactus/serpent. The same image is on the Mexican coins. 10 pesos, 5 pesos etc.

      which was what was seen by the wandering aztecs as the sign of where to build their great city - which is now the largest city in the world - Mexico City.

      So much history for sure Mexico City where in 1520 Montezuma the Aztec Emperor was killed during the initial Spanish conquest led by Cortes.
      I live 4 hours South of Mexico City and will not drive in the city, it's just too crazy!!

      we have a place 2 hrs northwest of mexico city and i won't drive in DF either. it's insane there!
