Today's offering is this neat little 6" high x 6" dia. sgraffito pottery jar. There is no mark of any kind and the design and shape look somewhat Asian. It also looks a bit Native American but I don't think they'd use poppies as a design element. It has a somewhat waxy soft feel to the finish more like paint with the design details scratched (sgraffito) and incised within the different colors. The body feels like pottery with a tan color finish inside and on the bottom. Can't even begin to guess where it's from or how old it is. -Mike-
