I'm interested in the bronze medallion on the chain. Can you tell us what it says?

Around the outer rim it reads: "Scituate Royal Arch Chapter No. 8 RI" and in the center in the round are the letters HTWSSTKS reading clockwise where the H is in the 12:00 position.

If these came together, then "RI" is probably Rhode Island as the button has " Prov R.I.". Has my curiosity up.

The medal with the colorful rainbow ribbon is a local issue WW1 Service Medal.

Many states and towns issued these to residents who served during the war-- yours is from Greenwich, CT.

The ribbon is the SAME color as the Government issued Victory Medal for WW1.

There are numerous examples out there and they have a strong following (most are very reasonably priced). A friend of mine published a book on these a few years ago-- a great guide to the variety of medals that are out there.
