Curious if anyone cant date this set. They are in mint condition. No marks are on them, but as in the one pic the salt and pepper shakers do have corks in them. The work on these is excellent, glaze is on heavy (very shinny) These were very nicely done pieces.

Very cute I have seen his face and painted a bit different on many of them. He dates about 1960's . He maybe made in a ceramic class by a person making them for themselves . Ceramic co furnishes unpainted mold to paint then they fire it . There are a few that are marked by companies . It was well done so maybe a factory set . :-)

@ nldionne, that one has different eyes you posted it is was painted by a amateur in a ceramic class . The posted one has very good eyebrows and pupils . The shaky eyebrow on one you posted and side eyelashes says homemade in a ceramic class . Posted one could have been but by a very talented painter the one stroke eyebrows are hard to do correct like her's is . There must have been a original set but most look handmade that I have seen , The date 1960 is appx . :-))))))))))))) xo
