I bought this oneBay back in 1999. I paid $60.00 back then. I get a kick out of this because kids would say 'She look like a Man"! She is decked out in her Sunday best with jewels galore. By Artist James A. Sullivam around 1900.

I just got a giggle again. Someone went to a lot of trouble to show their wealth put on that kid. Look at the wonderful coloring on the jewelry, it looks to be all real gold and so much of it.

OMG! She is back again, and again I'm laughing. I love the quality of this picture with such an unwilling model. I mean look at it, she looks so real! I'll bet the person that painted this was famous in his day. I would love to have it to remind me how lucky I am to have boys.

So check this out. This was taken from a time line dated July 1961. Granted the date of birth would be off my two years, but this just means they did not have the date of birth right in the google based information.

Died. James Amory Sullivan, 88, architect and painter who expatriated himself to Europe for 30 years to restore the works of the Renaissance, then chucked it all in 1950 to lead a party of seven other reluctant socialites on an abortive, civilization-fleeing cruise to the Windward Islands; of a heart attack, in Winchendon, Mass. Proclaimed Sullivan, as the schooner Blue Goose glided into the horizon: "We're fed up [with society]. We are tired of pretense and the false way of life." The idyl lasted six months.

That poor ugly tom girl portrait might really be worth some serious bucks.

I just had an ironic thought. She might reprent his resentment for the upper class he was fighting against. "You want a portrait of your over privledged little brat? Here she is!
