This antique sterling Silver tray has been in the family since the 1940s. I have no history on it other then it came from France and has been in the family for some time. The four legs have really interesting designs. If anyone has seen one like it, or if you have information on this tray, do let me know. Thanks you.

It's an egg cruet. I've not seen one with so many egg cups! How many are there, a dozen? or is it eleven? Perhaps there are marks?
Totally agree with vetraio50 (11 months ago)......I have never seen an egg cruet with so many settings...It must have been specially commissioned for a very special setting! (Normally max out at 6 egg cups). This is a very important piece, you are very lucky to have it in your family (Check out recent sales at Christies and such like in Europe....the are still fetching good prices where silver is a little depressed)
I love these types of sets! And I agree, it is large for an egg cruet set. I'd love to see any hallmarks/makers marks on it!
Good day to you. There are 11 cups and 11 spoons on this. There is one spoon slot with no spoon. Yet ifI was to add another cup, there is no room for it on the tray. Baffles me. No, I have not checked into what this piece is worth. I would not let it go anyway as I want it to remain in the family. Lots of sentimental value. Thank you for responding.
