Unique, one of a kind art glass vase is a cased blue lizard, climbing a colourless crystal thorn branch.

The lizard has white interior and teal blue exterior that is cased with a geometric diamond pattern. Applied eyes, spines, and arms are crystal coloured glass. Applied base is a solid piece of glass with pressed daisy flowers on the colourless disc and there is pressed leaves applied on the perimeter on the base.

Who made it? I believe it is Bohemian, and that is as far as it goes.

13" tall.
Lizard's mouth has a 2-3/4" diameter opening.
The base is 5-1/4" diameter.
Exquisite form of art glass. Rarity, indeed. Massive size.
Very heavy in weight, 2.5 pounds of glass.

    Geez, where do I begin?

Hey Kevin. Ecdysis, the new word of the day! Have to tell you the lizard shed itself your way down under and SteveS is the new pet owner. :)

Thank you, Sean. Much appreciated! :)

Mikelv85, glad you agree. It is truly life size and have never seen anything like it. Welcome to the intriguing world of Bohemian glass. :)

Jay, there's no dark side! lol Only peace, light and love when it comes to Bohemian glass. I have a few ideas who I think made it, but I'll keep hush on it. It was a fun piece while I had it and it was found in Maryland. Oh, and it has a tail, it's short, but it's there. Road kill... very funny, Jay.

Phil, I bet he would. He's definitely vegan! :)

    Hi Leah ...
Missed this posting ... only by a couple of months though ...
So what are your thoughts on the base ... And the color ??
    Cheers

Hi Steve. If there is anyone missing anything, it's me missing the lizard! The (cased) colour I have seen on a few Bohem Export shapes which I will forward you pics and as far as the (very ornate) base, it's not a marker to be directly attributed to any Bohem maker.
