    This was my grandmother's bowl. Can any one tell me if it is Murano Glass. It measures 9 1/2" x 9". It is very heavy and looks like the ones I have seen on some of the web sites

      It maybe Murano Glass -- with a polished *Cloud* base....where there is the outer layer showing on the bottom.

      These fool me now -- as I have one with a cloud type base too -- and had it NOT had the FT label on it, I would have not believed it was Murano.

      ....also for other reference on the above:

      Leslie Pina's book on Fratelli Toso (on page 165 ) she describes them as having a 'cloud like pattern.....
