Nahh... Its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to identify silversmiths from initials. There were a hundred billion of them, and very little records are available. Only a tiny handful of them got famous enough to be able to ID by initials alone, or even with a hallmark. 835 is a European fineness, mainly German. This does have a Bauhaus look to it too, so that's a possibility. 1920's-30's.

Could the S stand for silver and the G for Grosse? I absolutely adore and admire the workmanship and design of German made jewelry. This is a wonderful modernist piece:)

it's a beautiful piece! i'll bet that you'll id the smith sooner or later. it'd be great if it were a german bauhaus piece. i'd show it in silversmith magazines to get more info.
